Sage Credit was founded in 2024 to provide something other non-bank lenders struggle to maintain: genuine relationships, informed underwriting on every loan and the kind of service that keeps builders and investors coming back.
Our founder Jan Brzeski brings more than 15 years of real estate private credit experience, having originated and managed over 1,800 loans totaling more than $3.5 billion. As co-founder and former managing director at Arixa Capital he helped to build that business into one of the leading non-bank real estate lenders in the country. That experience — originating and managing loans through multiple market cycles — is the foundation Sage Credit is built on.

Jan Brzeski
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Jan Brzeski is the Founder and Managing Director of Sage Credit and manages the fund portfolio. Prior to starting Sage Credit, Mr. Brzeski founded and built Arixa Capital, one of the top non-bank real estate lenders. Through his career, Mr. Brzeski has overseen 1,800 real estate loans totaling $3.5 billion. He is the father of two young adult sons and enjoys skiing and ocean swimming.

Joe Cianciolo
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Joe Cianciolo leads loan origination and operations for Sage Credit. Previously, he co-founded HomePace, providing homeowners across 13 states with solutions to tap into their home equity, and helped grow early robo-advisor FutureAdvisor to more than $500 million in AUM and through its acquisition by BlackRock. He later oversaw several digital wealth businesses at BlackRock. He is a husband and father of two and enjoys waterskiing, swimming and playing basketball.

Our team here works closely with builders, developers and real estate investors across the state, from urban infill projects to new development construction in Raleigh, Durham and throughout North Carolina.

Our California team is based in West Hollywood, Los Angeles and leads our lending activity across Southern California. From infill development and SB-9 projects to rebuilding in the communities affected by the 2025 fires, we bring local knowledge to every project we finance.
